Kate Misale is on the OAP Provider List and is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis from the University of Western Ontario and began her journey in ABA 10 years ago. Kate is a motivated, ambitious, and hardworking individual with an inviting personality that makes others feel comfortable in her presence.

During her undergraduate studies in Psychology at the University of Guelph, Kate did a placement at an elementary school where she was paired with a young boy with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It was then that she realized that working in ABA was her calling. Over the past 10 years, she has held various positions, including Educational Assistant, Social Group Leader, Instructor Therapist, Group Home Support Worker for adults with ASD, Senior Therapist, and professor, among others.

Kate decided to focus on children with ASD and pursued her BCBA certification. She is now a Clinical Supervisor for children with ASD. Throughout her career, Kate has developed a strong sense of compassion, empathy, and understanding, which has strengthened her leadership skills. As a Clinical Supervisor, she also supervises BCBA, BCaBA, and RBT candidates pursuing their certifications.

In addition to her role in clinical supervision, Kate is a professor in the Autism & Behavioural Sciences program at Niagara College, a role she thoroughly enjoys. Outside of work, Kate maintains a healthy lifestyle by going to the gym and playing soccer. She also enjoys trying new foods at restaurants, attending concerts, watching movies, and spending time with her two dogs.
